At Games for a living we develop exciting AAA blockchain games, as well as tools to help gamers and game developers benefit from crypto. We are expanding, and are on the lookout for an experienced C# Lead Software Developer to join our highly motivated team.
We are looking for a C# Lead Software Developer/ C# Lead Software Engineer to architect and build highly performant and scalable solutions for our video game as well as other applications. Our tech stack includes mainly Unity and Google Cloud. This role will focus primarily on leading the team, advocating coding best practices and ensuring software is delivered on schedule.
In this role you’ll have exposure across the full development lifecycle, from collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements through to solution delivery using a range of technologies including C#, Google Cloud, Cloud Run, Firebase hosting and more.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and coordinate the build of secure, scalable, robust and reusable software that is of the desired quality as specified in the relevant Project Definition Document (PDD).
- Manage a team of developers, ensuring they follow project best practices for architecture and design and setting coding standards.
- Supervise and coordinate products end to end according to project timescales for long-term impact – including UI, backend, testing, etc.
- Identify friction points and implement solutions to improve potential bottlenecks in the development process.
- Collaborate effectively with members of the team.
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical staff members.
- Ability to interface well with Professional Service staff and other non-technical members of the organisation.
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.
- Design and architecting of cutting edge tools and technologies while maintaining the existing stack.
- Manage projects using good practices as scrum and agile methodologies. Running, sprints, planning and review.
About you
Essential:
- BSc/BA in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Team lead experience building clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Proven experience using Unity Framework
- 5+ years experience developing C#.NET or C++ applications.
- Understanding of application and system architecture design and troubleshooting.
- Professional experience in the video game industry.
- Ability to take ownership and responsibility for projects from planning to execution.
- Proactive, with attention to detail and a can-do attitude.
- A passion for gaming and/or an interest in the blockchain.
- Spanish and English language fluency.
Nice to have:
- Professional experience in the blockchain industry.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML/CSS and web API app development.
